Empireyo believes the web should be accessible to everyone. For this website we aim for WCAG 2.2 AA, and we carry that ambition into every project we build for clients.
What we do
We build with meaningful HTML, so headings, lists and buttons make sense to assistive technology too. The site can be operated with the keyboard, including the menu, the booking calendar and the request forms. Images that carry information have alt texts, form fields have labels and error messages in text, and the dark colour system is designed for sufficient contrast. If your operating system asks for reduced motion, you get the calm version of our animations. The site also works without JavaScript: content and contact options remain available.
Compliance status
This website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Largely and not fully, for two reasons: the limitations we know about are listed below, and automated testing does not find everything.
How we test
We test ourselves; no external audit has been carried out. On every release an automated check runs across every page, including checks on keyboard shortcuts, the structure of the menu, reduced motion and the texts on forms. Periodically we also go through the site in the browser, with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 AA plus the best-practice rules) and with the keyboard, on a wide screen and on a phone. The last round was on 26 and 27 September 2026. It revealed keyboard problems in the booking calendar, the mobile menu, the mega menu and the project wizard, and smaller points in the language switcher, the newsletter field, the self-tests in articles and the counter block on the home page; all of these have been fixed. What a machine cannot judge, such as plain language and a logical reading order, we review by hand.
Known limitations
A number of decorative animations and the interactive elements, such as the quickscan, offer a simplified view without JavaScript. Whenever testing or keyboard use reveals something that can be better, we pick it up in the site’s regular maintenance.
