For an iPhone 13 screen, one shop charges almost four times as much as another.
snelrepareren.nl is an independent comparison site for phone repairs in the Netherlands. It is not a shop and not a chain: the site shows what a repair should cost and which shops are nearby. Then you call the shop yourself.
Anyone with a broken phone first wants to know what the repair should cost. That was nowhere to be found in one place. For an iPhone 13 screen, the highest measured price is almost four times the lowest. The difference lies mainly in the part: a copy or an original screen.
That is why Empireyo built snelrepareren.nl as its own product. We did the price research, made the logo and brand identity, designed the screens and built the site and the server. The site has been online since September 2026.
The site serves two kinds of visitors. Customers want to know a price and find a shop. Repair shops get a free listing, and those who sign up keep their own prices and hours up to date.
3704 prices, requested ourselves, each with its date.
At the heart of the site is our own price research at 52 Dutch shops: per device, per repair and per type of part. Every price carries the date it was measured.
| Part | How |
|---|---|
| Measuring rounds | Three: on 3, 14 and 24 September 2026. |
| Repairs | Screen, battery, charging port, camera and back cover. Water damage gets no fixed price, because it needs a diagnosis first. |
| Type of part | Every price carries a label from copy to original. That way you do not compare a copy with an original screen. |
| Devices | 267 devices from 12 brands, 234 of them with at least one measured price. |
| Per device and repair | A page of its own with every measured price as a dot on a bar, the middle price and a table of price, part and shop. |
| Price index | The whole study on one page, with the method and a file to download. Reuse is allowed, with attribution. |

The price first, the shop second.
No account and no form. Choose your device, tap what is broken, and you see straight away what the repair costs nationally.
| Step | What you do | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Device | Type your model or the code on your device, or choose your brand. If you do not know the model, the finder helps you look. | Devices from twelve brands, with a dot next to every device that has measured prices. |
| 2. Damage | Tap what is broken; more than one is fine. Then choose the type of part. | For each type of part what it costs nationally, and how many measurements that rests on. |
| 3. Shop | Enter your town or postcode, or tap the button for shops near you. | The shops the site knows nearby. You call or walk in yourself. |
267 shops in 98 towns.
Built town by town from public sources. A town gets a page of its own as soon as the site knows three shops there; that is now 40 towns, in ten provinces.
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Town page | For each shop the name, address, phone number and website, and next to it what a repair costs nationally. |
| Verified | A shop that signs up and confirms its details gets that label and a shop page of its own. |
| Listing | A shop the site only knows from public sources. It sits apart, labelled Not verified and without a price. |
| Warranty check | A label with the number of months and the date of the check. The site explains what the label does and does not mean. |
| Nearby | A button on the homepage. Your location or postcode stays in your own browser. |

The order is not for sale.
The site explains in public how shops are ranked. It never takes a cut of the repair, and at the moment no shop pays anything.
| Rule | How |
|---|---|
| Verified first | Shops that have signed up always come above the listings, which have a block of their own. |
| Then | Warranty check, recognition by a brand (such as Apple IRP), how recent the prices are, and only then the reviews on Google. |
| Featured | Later, a shop can only buy visibility in a separate block labelled Featured, which changes every hour. The regular list stays as it is. |
| Direct | You make the appointment with the shop yourself. The site does not sit in between and takes no cut. |
| Shop page | Address, the Verified label, opening hours with what applies today, and buttons to call, see the route and go to the website. |

No cookie banner, because there is nothing to ask.
What you see as a visitor: the site sets no tracking cookies, so there is nothing to ask consent for.
| Choice | How |
|---|---|
| No cookie banner | No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies from other companies. Only a shop that logs in gets a login cookie. |
| No account | You can see a price without an account and without a form. |
| No home addresses | A repairer who works at the customer's home is shown with their town only. Checked: the only two shops without an address are the two that work from home. |
| Removal | Every listing says how the owner can have it removed, without a reason and without an account. It is a request: the site first calls the number already shown with the listing, so nobody can make a competitor disappear. If it checks out, the listing is gone within two working days. |
A brand in one word and one colour.
No logo mark, only a wordmark: snel and .nl in navy, repareren in brand green. One typeface for everything, Outfit, and a soft visual language: rounded corners and lines instead of shadows. Green means checked, amber means fast.

Node and PostgreSQL, on our own server.
| Part | How |
|---|---|
| Server | Node.js, in TypeScript and without a build step. In production a single dependency: the connection to the database. |
| Database | PostgreSQL. The server builds the shop list and the towns from the database; the pages themselves are plain HTML. |
| Hosting | On a server of Empireyo's own, in a container shielded from the rest. |
| Security | A Content Security Policy that only allows scripts from the site itself, and the usual headers against framing and misread files. Measured live. |
| Typeface | Outfit is served from the site's own server, without Google Fonts. |

Fast on a slow phone.
Measured at phone size, with a processor four times slower, a slow connection and an empty cache. Three runs; the middle result counts.
| Measurement | Result | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Largest element on screen | 0.74 s | This is how fast the heading appears. Google calls up to 2.5 s good. |
| Layout shift | 0 | Nothing moves while the page loads. |
| Weight | 77 kB | Everything over the wire, in 9 requests. No photos on the homepage. |
| Typeface | 32 kB | The largest share of the weight. |
| Scripts | 26 kB | The repair finder and the buttons. |
| Page and style | 20 kB | The page itself 13 kB, the style 7 kB. |

Readable for search engines and AI assistants.
The site also describes itself in a form a machine reads: what it is, who it is for, and where the figures come from.
| Part | How |
|---|---|
| llms.txt | A summary for AI assistants: what the site is, who it is for, and how the prices were measured. |
| Structured data | The organisation, the site, the price research as a dataset with a download, and question blocks. |
| Price index | The file with all prices is attached; reuse is allowed with attribution. |
| robots.txt | AI search engines are explicitly welcome; bots that only read for training are kept out. |

What it cannot do yet, the site says itself: prices from shops side by side. Too few shops fill in their own prices for that so far. What works now: the price index, the repair finder, the guides and the shops per town.

|---|---|---|
| Price pages | 309 | iPhone 13, screen |
| Device pages | 127 | iPhone 13 |
| Town pages | 40 | Veendam |
| Guides | 14 | All guides |
| Repair pages | 6 | Screen replacement |
