Write for the reader, not for yourself
Most copy is about “us”. The reader wants to know: what is in it for me? Turn it around. Start with their question or problem, and show how you solve it.
The inverted pyramid
Put the most important thing at the top. People decide in seconds whether to stay. First the core and the conclusion, only then the supporting detail — not the other way around.
One page, one goal
Every page has one main task: to inform, to convince or to prompt action. Too many goals on one page means no goal is met. Steer with clear calls to action.
Write for search engines and AI too
Clearly written, well-structured copy works for people and machines. Headings that answer real questions and standalone paragraphs increase your chance of being found — and cited in AI answers.
